| About History Of Misono |
Establishment of Misono, which was using as a villa of a vassal in Okayama-Ikeda clan, dates back to the end of Meiji era.
Misono opened as an restaurant and had been warmly treated visitors to
here Kurashiki.
After entered Taishou era, Misono began accommodation service and built
up current style. Special cuisine and attentive staff attracted a lot of
customers and its good reputation spread over the regions. Then, people
started to use Misono for formal meetings, parties or receptions. |

Japanese traditional dances or songs were performed on Misono's stage
and it also helped fresh entertainers show their first performance on.
Shouwa era, Misono is gradually becoming popular among movie participants
or writers, and there are more various customers, like classical; jazz;
folk musicians, poets, painters, engravers, or potters, visit Misono of
late.

"MISONO THE LIVE"
Since around 1988, professional musicians or buskers are performing excellent
shows every month. Now Misono is called as
"Place to try and express performance" by entertainers and its
shows count up over 200 times.

Misono chef stock only the good material everyday, and he prepare
it with a nicety and depth in "the best" dinner. |

Please enjoy the space of relaxation in spacious rooms more than
14 tatamis. Good for a trip with a big family, cause the
room is able to use by up to 12people. The dinner menu is same

This is the service plan for the customer who has a dinner outside and wants to sit back and enjoy the next morning. You

The Misono Is Lucky Tombow
Misono's mascot is "Tombo (Dragonfly)" since our early history. They fly around freely as they want, and it looks as if travelers enjoying their life. Life is travel … we should goes on the travel freely as a Tombo does.
Well, in Southeast Asia like Bali, it admires a dragonfly as the deity of crop luxuriance. They fly over rice field and eat vermin, so it might people liken them to the deity.
Misono was named before Taishou era. The meaning is, actually, that fields for growing crops to offer to deities. Misono belonged to Ise or Kamo shrine and the fields spread 1,300 places all over Japan. Harvested crops offered to deities with spiritual songs and dancing. Tombo is flying and working on as a deity of the fields. |

Misono's original Sake "Tombo", which is best served chilled, is made by Morita Sake brewing.
It was named so because we recognize that travelers would think they want to be easy and free.
